School trip to England! What did they think about it ? Hey everybody, I went to England last week. On the first day, we spent 19 hours on the bus. On the second day, I liked the town trail because we discovered Stratford-upon-Avon and we learnt things about Shakespeare. On the third day, we went to Blenheim Palace and to Oxford, we discovered Christchurch college, it's really magnificent. On the fourth day, we saw Cambridge and the university but what I liked very much was the boat ride on the Cam (the river which flows through Cambridge).

My favorite moment was when we had free time in Stratford, we could go to Poundland.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

It's a shop where everything costs 1 pound. I liked the visit in Oxford too because it was very interesting. The family was very  nice, we ate very well, we ate some pizza some nuggets and some chips. We visited  Shakespeare’s house in Stratford and it was very impressive. I really liked the boating ride on the Cambridge  river which is called CAM!

In England, I liked the houses a lot:  the  semi-detached houses or detached houses with bow windows, they were very cute and different from French houses. I found my host family very friendly, but I didn’t understand everything that they said. The weather wasn't very good, except on the first day but we stayed on the bus. We saw the castle of Blenheim which was huge and amazing with its big rooms. Its library was impressive too because it contains 10 000 books. I loved the architecture of Stratford, like half-timbered houses and Tudor houses.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

The English food was good, except for vinegar crisps and English tea, which tastes like coffee.I loved the boating ride on the river Cam, it was very quiet and we had a new view on the different colleges in Cambridge.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

Despite the journey (which lasted twenty hours : we arrived in Headington 5 hours late !!!), we discovered amazing colleges which are part of  Oxbridge university. When we arrived, because of the night on the bus, we were really tired ! The town where we slept was really symmetric and geometric. The weather wasn't really nice, but the trip was  ! We visited important English cities from a cultural point of view:  Cambridge, oxford, or Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of the famous writer Shakespeare ! Our family was very welcoming. On the first day, we did a town trail  in Stafford-Upon-Avon, it was funny, and next were allowed to have 1.30 hour off.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

The next day, we visited Oxford. There are 23 000 students in Oxford university which includes 38 colleges ! It's huge !On the  last day, before leaving, we went to Cambridge, where studied, taught and died a famous scientist which did a lot of research about the Big Bang and black holes, Stephen Hawking. In the afternoon, we had a boat ride on the river Cam, it was amazing to see buildings from the water. We left at 9pm, we rode 20 hours and arrived,  5 hours late, just as we had done on our way to Headington!

Despite the horrible weather the trip to England was really nice. We learned lot of things and I think that everybody improved in English. Most of the families were nice and gave us an overview of what everyday life is like in England. In my family the questionnaire that we had to fill in resulted in a big talk about  Brexit and the politics. It was really interesting to hear English opinion about the Brexit and all what it is about. I discovered lot of things about the story of England, especially about the life of Shakespeare and Winston Churchill. I have a very good opinion of this school trip, even if I think that it was too short to really make progress in English. The campuses that we  visited were really nice and famous because of the quality of the teaching. To get into this kind of colleges you have to work really hard and have really good grades.

I think all of my favorite moments were in the English family. My English family was very nice. There were six members, so four children. We practiced English with our family and we knew how to make ourselves understood. Also I really liked the day in Cambridge in particular when we went  boating on the Cam, the Cam is the name of the river in Cambridge. Cambridge is famous for its university which was founded in 1209. My trip was good, I learned a lot of things about  England.

I found our trip in England really interesting because of the monuments we visited !

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

But in my opinion we didn't talk English enough : our guides spoke to us in French and that was really disappointing. The weather wasn't as bad as the ones who went to Spain thought it would be. I just want to go back there now, especially to hear the Oxford accent. People who live in Oxford  look at you as if you were nothing but it's kind of fun, anyway it was really nice. I'm still wondering why  we didn't do things  like visiting the Harry Potter Castle, I think that it would have been really nice if we had done it.

We did a school trip to England last week and I really enjoyed it. Firstly, because during the journey, I learnt a lot of things about English history, English architecture, English universities (Cambridge and Oxford) and English well-known figures such as Shakespeare or Winston Churchill. Then because we had a lot of free time (one hour per day at least), we had the opportunity to discover by ourselves English cities such as Stratford-upon-Avon or Oxford and of course to buy a lot of things. Next, I really liked the trail we did in Stratford. I must explain what I mean when: it’s a race between several teams and all the teams have a questionnaire to fill in. The answers were in the town so we had to look for them or ask people on the street. And me and my team were very proud to win.  Finally, our stay in the host family was very nice because they were kind and because my best friend was with me.To be honest, I have to say there were some problems too, like the English weather, the traffic jams and the bus breakdown (we stayed for three hours on a roundabout) !!!                        Jules

I loved all the beautiful buildings, such  as the Bridge of Sighs,

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

the Blenheim Castle ( the paintings on walls were wonderful). Henley street (Shakespeare's house was built here) was cosy, I felt as in the Middles Ages. Having some free time was nice to see shops and be with friends. It was strange to see the same shops as in  France and not very interesting. I loved  Gothic architectural style, there is light, gracefulness, and it's high and slender. The weather wasn't very good, with a few sunny hours , and then clouds and rain. Maybe a typical English weather...My family was welcoming, the house was cosy and the cat was fluffy and cute. I miss him a lot. We ate Italian food, it wasn't very English... but it  was delicious ! When we were in Oxford, Cambridge and Stratford, the little houses looked different from French houses... it was Tudor, Gothic... I liked the Stratford town trail because it was with friends for  two hours and it wasn't raining. Morever, it was interesting!

During the first day in Stratford-upon-Avon I liked the afternoon a lot, we did a trail to discover the center and the history of the city. We were with our group, there  was a little competition between the teachers so it was funny.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

The weather was very nice. However I didn’t like visiting Shakespeare’s birthplace in the morning very much  because the people who worked there rushed us so it was a little unpleasant.  The second day in Oxford was very nice, all the activities were cool. In addition the weather was really great during our free time. I liked this day a lot because we did sightseeing and we had free time. The last day in Cambridge was very nice too because we visited a lot of beautiful colleges. Despite the weather, which  rainy and windy, but fortunately we spent the afternoon in a shopping center. We came back to France that night so we ate  dinner in a shopping centre before taking the bus back home. The journey back  was very long because the bus and the boat had mechanical problems, it was funny at the beginning but at the end it was too long.

In conclusion we had an eventful trip but it was a very very good trip!!!

This trip didn't start very well : we left Nantes at 11.30pm. We went to Calais, took the boat, every thing was normal until we arrived on the English land.  We were stuck in a huge traffic jam, so we had to put off  the visit of Oxford that we were supposed to do during the afternoon! . So we had to cancel the hike in the English villages. We went directly to the families. The next day, we  visited the house where Shakespeare was born and raised. It was really hard to believe we were standing in the same place as one of the most famous writers in the world !!! On  the third day, we went to Blenheim Castle, where Winston Churchill lived. I didn't understand anything because of the noise, I didn't like it at all. In the evening, the mother of the family asked me if I wanted to hold the snake. (They had a corn snake!) Of course, I accepted. I really don't understand ophidiophobia (the fear of snakes). My only fear when it was crawling in my neck was to let it fall; The next day, we went to Oxford to visit the University and the colleges that are inside. I didn't get all the information, but that was nice. On Thursday, we went to Cambridge University. We discovered that Cambridge and Oxford don’t get on well with each other...  We had a lot of free time, and the journey back was the worst moment of the trip: jams, delays, breakdown... We arrived with a 5 hour delay.

School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

But that was a nice experience, I hope I will do it another time in the future.

     Laszlo

It was a very good trip, I liked everything in England, maybe not the weather though… We travelled by coach a lot. We saw beautiful old monuments. We didn't talk English a lot because our English guides spoke to us in French and our host didn't talk to us enough. But we improved our English when we asked someone for something (in the shops, on the streets...). The food in England is so delicious, for example,  the English  fish and chips is the best meal I ever ate during the trip.  School trip to England! What did they think about it ?

I really liked the boat ride on the Cam, the Harry Potter dining hall made me dream.. Every thing in England is very nice expect  the car drivers, They drive very fast and never care about the  pedestrians !

     Pierre

On the first day we spent the day in Stratford.  I liked it  when we did a town trail   because in my group there was a very good atmosphere, and we won. After that we had some free time and it was very good because we  discovered the city !On the second day  we spent the morning in Blenheim Castle, it was rainy and it was cold so  it wasn't cool. In the afternon, we went to Oxford and we visited a lot of colleges;  it was very cool because the colleges were very beautiful and the guide was very cool, I  discovered a lot of things about the students and about the colleges. We went to the Christchurch staircase, where a Harry Potter scene was shot. And the last day was the best for me because we went on a punt, on the river Camand  it was very good,  because I drove the punt for 5 minutes.

Even if there was a bad weather , I really enjoyed this trip. Every night we stayed in our English family, it was great because we were able to practice our English .On the first day we went to Shakespeare’s house, it was very interesting but a little bit boring . In the afternoon we did a town train  in the city and it was really fun.On the second day we visited Blenheim palace , it was beautiful . In the afternoon we went to Oxford with a guide , I learnt a lot of things .On the third day we went to Cambridge, and  for me it was really exhausting because I was really tired .But I loved the afternoon because we did some punting and it was really funny .I found that the family was great, the food wasn't excellent but it was good .

I liked the trip because I learnt a lot of things,  and it  helped me understand English better. I found the bus ride pleasant despite the delay. The family was welcoming and very nice. The cities we visited and the activities we did were good  fun. The English people we met were  nice and the scenery was beautiful. I would have liked to stay longer but I am fully satisfied with this trip. The bus driver was nice and I liked having free time in the different cities we visited.

I  enjoyed the trip from March 25 th to March 30 th in England because we took the bus and the boat to get there. We arrived in our host families around 7pm.We visited a lot of monuments and universities. We met very nice young English people during our free time.We broke down with the bus on the way back, but it was fun and we could sleep more. So I loved this trip which waq  quite funny. We learned a lot of things.During a visit,  I saw the stories of my friends and they were at the beach, playing volleyball in shorts sleeves and barefoot then they were very hot and catching sunburns while we were under the rain and it was very cold. ;-(We got closer to some people and we got to know others.

I liked the trail around  Stratford, it was an interesting way to discover the city. I also enjoyed visiting Christchurch college and especially the part about Harry Potter: the stairs and the dining hall that inspired some scenes of the movie Harry Potter.

Finally the thing that I particularly liked was living in an English family for three days, which was really interesting especially for the language. I think the only thing I didn't like was the long bus hours due to various problems (gasoline outage, traffic jams...). But overall, this trip was really good and I enjoyed it.

The trip was gorgeous. The university's architecture was  wonderful to look at. We never saw such beautiful buildings. It was a big experience for us because it was the first trip to England .  Our language has improved a lot. We could see  Churchill's castle and it was the most beautiful castle we ever saw in our life. The paintings were huge and heavenly. Shakespeare's house was not wonderful but it was interesting for our general knowledge. But there was a little  damper. The weather was not really nice because it rained half of the trip and we don't like  rain. We were also seasick on the ferry…The bus trip was really too long. In conclusion we liked the  trip despite some difficulties.

On March 23rd at 11.50pm we left for England, we took the bus to Calais, then the ferry and then the bus to Oxford. In total we had a  15 hour drive and despite the length we had fun on the bus, we played games that allowed us to know new people who are in our school but that we usually never talk to. When we arrived, the host families came to pick us up, I really liked  being with families, who made us discover a new style of house, decoration, food, the way of thinking... During the visits we discovered new stories, monuments, ways of life, which was cool; we also discovered new stores duringour  free time. In the family where I was with Sharon, we loved to be together, eat, sleep in the same room, getready together, we laughed ... When we came to France we really missed it . My overall opinion is very positive because I really enjoyed visiting Oxford and Cambridge!

On Sunday, 25th march 2018, we left at 11:30 pm  from the Parc de Procé, in Nantes.. We went to Calais where we boarded the ferry. The next day we were very tired  because of the previous  night on the bus. We arrived 5 hours  late in Headington. So we missed the Monday afternoon visit and the families came to pick us up directly at 7:30 pm. The following days we visited Cambridge and Oxford, the  two cities are very big, it's amazing... The castles and university colleges are much bigger than in France. This trip taught me a lot and I came back to Nantes with good memories :)

    School trip to Spain!

My trip to Barcelona was very interesting and great. We saw a lot of beautiful  gothic artichectural  monuments such as the Sagrada Familia which      was built by the architect Antonio Gaudi and will be finished in 2026.The cathedral is very high and the towers are graceful, it's very nice, I liked it very much.  Gaudi also built the Casas Batlo and Mila , we only saw the facades and their style is between the Gothic and the Baroque with a lot of colors for the casa Batlo.  I liked this house because it looks like  a vegetal wall. I also liked this trip very much because the weather was beautiful and we played football on the beach with the teachers, the weather was very hot and I had sunburns the next day. Next we cooked  a paella and it was very interesting to cook and eat, the dinner was awesome ! Finally I liked this experience very much.

Barcelona is a lovely city, with colorful and eccentric architecture, especially Anthonio Gaudi's. School trip to Spain!

We saw the Sagrada familia, probably the highest monument that he designed. This buiding might be finished by 2026 ! We cooked a typical paella withe only rice, peppers, mussels and tomatoes. The cook explained to us, grumpily, that « a weird english man decided to add meat and fish to the paella ». The meal was delicious. Furthermore, we met castellers. In Barcelona, there is the tradition of creating human pyramids. The tallest pyramid ever created was built with nine rows of people ! I enjoyed this trip because it was warm and I learnt a lot of interesting things.

I loved my trip to  Barcelona because I saw a lot of great things.

I saw the Boqueria, the Santa Elena Church, Gaudi's houses, the Amphitheatre in Tarragone and the Dali museum .

The church is amazing, it's very high and big. The Boqueria is a place where people chat and do some shopping, it was  great because I met people. The day I preferred was when we went to the beach, they are beautiful, the weather was so great, we played soccer and volley, it was twenty five degrees!School trip to Spain!

I was so sad to come back to France.

I loved this trip because everything we did was interesting. Especially the beach because it was very beautiful. we thought we were in summer! The atmosphere was relaxed and all the teachers were nice. The Dali museum is not really that nice because its art was quite abstract ... but in our family they  love Dali and  they went to the same museum as us. This trip was very good and I would love to go back there. !!!

My trip to Barcelona was very interesting and great. We  saw a lot of gothic architecture such as the Sagrada  Familia ,School trip to Spain!

the “casa battle” and “casa mila” which were built  by Antonio Gaudi. The cathedral was very impressive: there are strong vertical lines and high windows, the arches are pointed, there are a lot of windows. We only saw the facades but it was very beautiful .Gaudi drew his inspiration from nature.

We went to the beach in Tarragona ,we had fun on the beach and we played football and volleyball. We had a picnic on the beach, in  the sun. The weather was very good   We visited the city , then  we went to a restaurant to cook paella. It was very interesting to do.

On the last day  we did some  shopping in Figueras, I bought souvenirs for my  family. We ate at Mac Donalds !!!We had a lot of free time during the trip.

All this was  beautiful, I will remember it for a long time.

I  liked my trip to  Catalonia a lot  because I  visited a lot of monuments with my friends and we could  and  buy things in the shopping centers and in the typical shops of Catalonia.During my trip I was very happy because we did a lot of things , we  met people and some became friends with us. Now, I’m very happy  about this trip , it was very sunny, I went to the beach and I was allowed  to put my feet into the sea. The other good point about this trip was   my host family, I was lucky and was   in a nice family who spoke with us and with us we could discover the Catalan culture and the typical Catalan food.

     Hugo

It was a great school trip because fortunately it was a beautiful week. We were able to do a lot of activities and we had a lot of  free time in all the city. That allowed us to discover Barcelona, Tarragona and Reus. But for me, the best moment was the beach because we were able to practise football, volley with teachers and all my friends ! Of course a big part of the trip we had to write notes about what we saw. So we had to listen to the guide. We visited the ruins of Tarragona, the Gothic area in Barcelona, the Gaudi and Dali museums. We also cooked a delicious paella.

I really liked my trip to Spain because people were nice and my family was welcoming. I enjoyed sightseeing, it was interesting and enriching. I appreciated eating and tasting the Spanish  food. The weather was really nice. So it was very pleasant to go to the beach and have walks. My favourite first moment was when we made the paella together and ate it. My other favourite moment was when we went to the beach , we played some games. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. Even if my trip was short, it was very enriching and great!

It was a lot of  fun,  we saw magnificent old monuments, it was very warm and we walked a lot, my host family was very friendly and they made very good dinners, the teachers were very kind to us. My favourite day was Tuesday, because we saw some beautiful monuments ( colosseums, walls …) and we went to the beach and it was really great, we ate on the sand and we played football on the sand.

The day I liked the least was on Monday, because we were very tired with the bus trip and it was very hot and I didn’t drink much water and it was the day we walked most so I was really very tired after that day!

It was a very nice trip to Spain because we had a lot of sun and “clima caluroso”(warm weather). There was a nice atmosphere during the trip (because we went to the beach) and everybody was happy. The architectural style was very different from that in France (We saw a lot of baroque style). The only problem was my family because we didn’t have  very yummy food (but we still  ate it), and despite this problem, they were very nice!

    Victor

We arrived on Monday morning I was very tired .We visited the most famous market in Europe, the Boqueria

    School trip to Spain!

and visited Las Ramblas In the afternoon we walked around the gothic neighbouhood, we saw the special architecture (casa Gaudi :Battlo, Mila) the Sagrada familia, it was impresive, there were a lot of shops we don't often see (luxury brands). We also went to the beach, we had fun there was a good weather, we played football, it was cool. We visited old Tarragone but it was too hot and  I was tired but we cooked a real paella, it was  nice to prepare a local dish. The last day in Figueras we did shopping and bought things for our family.  Of course we ate at Mc Donald’s, we could compare with the French Mc Donald and found it was less expensive. We had a lot of free time and good weather during the trip, it was nice . There were no problems to come back to France, but it was long (15 hours).

Barcelona is an incredible city with a colorful and very interesting architecture, along the Mediterranean coast. You can see Gaudi's artwork (La Pedrera, La Sagrada Familia...), there is  delicious food and you can eat a lot of sea food from the Mediterranean, sold on the Boqueria market. You can also walk along the streets -and the “La Rambla”- to enjoy the sun in summer -or in spring, and do some shopping.

Tarragon is also a beautiful city with an amazing view of the sea, with  a wall almost all around the city. We also went to the Gaudi  Museum, and to the Dali  Museum on the last day.

    School trip to Spain!

We also were in host families in Tarragon, I was with two friends in an old woman's flat. She was really nice and cooked us some delicious sandwiches and good dinners.

I particularly  enjoyed our free time and our activities, especially the Gaudi  Museum because of his strange minds and original artworks.

    Inès

This trip to Spain was very friendly, it was sunny, and hot. There was a good atmosphere in the group. Almost everybody in this group was cool. It was very interesting too to visit the Gaudi museum, the Dali museum and  Tarragona ; Barcelona and Reus were very great and brilliant but the best moment was when we cooked some paella, it was very impressive.

    Romain

The trip was very nice, and all the activities were great. Barcelona is a beautiful city ,the facade of the Sagrada familia was amazing .The day in Tarragona was very complete. I think my favourite moment was when we were at the beach. Reus and Figueres were very interesting. I liked the two museums (Gaudi and Salvador Dali) it was very nice.

    Justine

I loved this trip because we saw the some Spanish artists’ works like those of Gaudi or Dali, We saw Gaudi's houses like la « casa Battlo », School trip to Spain!« casa Mila » and we went to the Gothic neighborhood . The architecture of  Gaudi's houses are very special .Dali was an artist who made paintings in the XXth century. We saw the Roman amphitheater in Tarragona and we visited the city. In this city we also went to the beach because during the trip, the weather was very warm and sunny (25 degrees ), we had fun on the beach it was cool.e also cooked  paella, it was delicious! We went to « La Boqueria » the most famous market in Catalogna. Inside, people can buy exotic fruit and vegetable. On the last day, the teacher gave us money to buy  lunch, we and we ate Mcdonald's, of course!                   Arthur

We arrived in Barcelona at 8,30 am on Monday. Barcelona is one of the best places in the world. We saw a lot of architectural styles like Gaudi's  or Gothic...

On the second day in Spain, we visited « Tarragona Romana ». There are lot of roman monuments like theatres, amphitheaters and statues. In the evening, we cooked a wonderful paëlla. On the third day, we went to Reus to visit the Gaudi center, I learnt a lot of things about Gaudi and his monuments. In the afternoon, we visited Reus and we made « Castellers » (They’re human pyramids).

    School trip to Spain!

The first goal we have to reach is fight extreme poverty.

(There are still about 800 million people living in extreme poverty, that is about 12 % of the world population. They have to live with only 1.25$ a day!)

So with the Sparks project we decided to see what it means!

We went to French supermarkets and found out what we can eat for 1.25$ a day!

Look at the following slideshows to discover what we found.

Click here to see the padlet, then read about the students' reactions!

We think that living with 1,25$ is really hard daily because in France the prices grow  all the time ,so we pay more and more without kwnowing it.

It will certaintly change the way we'll buy things in the future by making us care more c about the price of the things that we'll buy.

    Adrien and Ethann

In my opinion, this shows people how people live everyday with only 1,25$. I think it is really  sad to know some people  still live with 1,25$ today, and we must stop this big problem by helping  assossiations.

It was a good experience to try to be in poor people's place and understand them.

     Brune

We think it's difficult to live with 1,25 $ a day in France because a lot of food costs more than in America. We can't live with just bread and an apple a day because it's not nutritional enough.

     Cyriaque and Agathe

Now, we know with 1.25€  we  can hardly have any thing to eat, and we can talk about it to ourfriends and family... We know we are lucky, and because of it, we should act to stop poverty and help people to live in good conditions. When we buy food, we will look at the price to see if poor people could buy it and we will give food to them. We will know food is precious and we mustn't waste it anymore.

     Louise and Esther

Today in France, it' s very difficult, or  nearly imposssible to  live  with 1.25 dollar per day because  the food is too expensive. When you go to a supermarket you can't split the products and  calculate.

If everybody helps it will change.

Perhaps in other countries you can but in France you can't !

     Brieuc

We can't buy enough food for a day with 1,25$. This won't change the way I act but the way I think because the cheapest products in a super market are usually the poorest quality.

     Nina and Clara

We understood living with only 1.25$ a day is very hard. It's very sad that people don't have enough money to buy food, because without it, we die.

Unfortunatley, we can't really change it, but we have to try doing something, give money to homeless people, talk about it to the people we know... Because if we don't, Earth will turn into Hell.

    Jules and Lazslo

It's very hard to live with only 1.25 $ per day because  food is very expensive. People who have less than 1.25 $ per day can't really eat healthy food. In the future we will have to do something to help people below the poverty line. For example we will have to give more money to charities like the « Restaurants du coeur » or  volunteer for some humanitarian actions. Why do we have to do that? Because everybody must be able, and allowed, to eat as they need and to eat healthier food.

For us, who have all we need, it's hard to realize and to be in somebody'else's place. So, it isn't because we have all we need that we can stop  fighting for equality in the world !

     Inès and Mei

Now we have worked about this issue we think it's very hard to live in France with 1,25$ because the food is too expensive : for example a piece of chicken costs 2$. In the future we could ban  big brands because they sell the most expensive products !

     Louis and Matisse

Today, living with $1,25 a day in France is very hard because the food is far too  expensive. This task helped us   understand better what poverty is,  it's so  hard to eat with only $1,25 a day !

  • Our first task for the Sparks project was to imagine a logo ! The logo selected to illustrate the Sparks project was the lolo created by Spanish students.

It has now become the official Sparks logo.

Here are the logos suggested by the Guist'hau students, with some explanations about their choice.

    Sparks project: choosing a logo.

     Inès

To represent the project, I draw scales meaning that we have to balance many situations in the world. There is a Yin Yang with the white point higner than the black point to represent the main goal:to make the world better than it currently is.There are seventeen colourful stripes , each one representing a goal in the project and  all around  there is an eye, with the Yin Yang as the pupil. The eye means that we have to look after our world, our acts, our fortune , all the  problems there are everywhere.

Our logo means you can’t only watch, you must take action to stop climate change. The tree is here to show some actions are easy and apples to show a little action can help after a few years, and it means we must help the poor people to find food.

The colors : - There is some green to represent ecology and nature and green hands to illustrate the French  expression "avoir la main verte", and because we don’t care about people’s color. The brown because it’s the color of the earth.  - And the red because it’s the color of apple.

As regards the hands under the eyes, they mean you have to do something when you see  problems in the world.

To create our logo, we chose the earth because we wanted to represent the environment . Next we put characters around the earth to represent all the classes who participate in the project and there are as many boys as  girls to illustrate sex equality. Then, we chose « All united for SDGs » as a slogan because everybody can take a good action and protect the planet . Finally, the main colours of this logo are blue and green because they are the colours which best represent ecology.

     Mei and Clara.

For our logo we chose three things : -

-A green earth with trees and houses to say that we are all concerned by our environment and problems on the earth.
-The logo of global goals for their 17 very important goals
    - Sparkles for the currency of the project and to say that we have to change.
We created this logo to show  everybody that there is hope. We can all change the world, so let's try !

I chose to draw this logo because I drew different characters who come from different countries because they represent the global goals, I also  drew the earth with different continents.

I chose this logo because I want everyone TO be able to eat when he is hungry whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Then, I want everyone to be able to work in good conditions to be able to help society and to earn a good salary. Next, I want everyone to be able to be healthy, to be able to live in good conditions. I want every child to be able to go to school and to be able to develop their general knowledge in a lot of subjects to be able to find a job later and I want everyone to be able to live in a house or in a flat to be able to sleep, to be able to have breakfast with their family, to be able to have a shower.

We have created this logo because we think the sentence "Be the sparks that changes the world” is very important  and we wanted  to put together  all the 17  goal logos  (poverty, climate action  ...) We used green and blue because they are the colors of ecology. The sentence is  written in a circle because it makes us think about the earth. It was very important for us that every goal and field be in our logo.

    Ethann

First ,I made the choice to draw the earth in green and blue, to show how it could be whitout humans .

Next,I  drew some of the problems ,or goals to reach ,AROUND the earth and not INTO it ,to represent the human expanse which is out of control. Among the problem that I chose (pollution, poverty, internet, hunger and education ),the most important to me is  pollution : I represent it, whith factories , in such a way that we can see its extent . I also show the hunger in the world by drawing obese persons eating chocolate chip cookie with a very hungry man; it means that some people eat too much when others don't eat at all !

The skyscrapers show the different economy class around the world .I've represented the education by drawing books with someone sitting on them to show that some people don't even know what  a book is  so they sit on them  as you sit on a chair .The trees are for the environment .Finally, the most noticeable  colours are black and white to show the sadness of our world.

     Brieuc and Louis

We chose to draw the earth with all the continents because all the peoples are ready to protect the planet.

We drew three hands, a black, a brown and a white one. They represent the whole population in the world.

All the continents are green because it’s the colour of the environment.

It means that in the future planet there is no pollution and every one has enough water and food. The sparks illustrate the idea of having  a better world,

We drew seventeen sparks to repesent the global goals.

In our logo, two things are represented: a solar system and a target. The earth is the center of  both.

First, we thought about  making  a solar system with the Earth as the Sun and the goals as the planets. But while making it, we thought it would be a great idea to add a cross to make it look like a target.

In the solar system, we replaced the sun with the Earth and all the different goals gravitate around it. But they aren’t placed at random : on each orbit, the goal which is the biggest is the one the others depend on. According to us, there are goals which are more important than others. That’s why we placed the goals so that the more important they are, the closer they are to the Earth.

We put a cross on the Earth to make the target. To make it look more like one, we increased the thickness of the orbits according to the importance of the goals which are on them.

For us, the important idea was to place the Earth in a central position of our “planet system” and our target, but the way it goes is totally different from reality: in real life, the planets need the sun to live, and in our logo, it’s the Earth which needs the goals to stay alive. We used the same idea for the target: in reality, we destroy the target, but here, it shows that the Earth must be what we care about. It also represents the idea that the Earth is in real danger. That’s why we mixed a planet system with a target.

And if we’ve been able to walk on the moon and to reach the stars, we should we able to save our Earth.

First, we looked for 4 pictures on the web : a picture of a bulb, laurel, a ribbon and a black circle. After that, we assembled these pictures we created a new unpublished picture. For us, the bulb represents the earth and a great idea, the laurel represents the  success of the project and recalls the forest, the ribbon represents our school because originally Collège Guist’hau was written on it. Finally, we think the black circle represents goals and they are moving because the battle isn’t over and we must fight for this project.
